10/11/14: Thank you to everyone who made the 8th Annual PAWS Mutt Strut a huge success! Our thanks go out to attendees, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, fundraisers, and teams who made it a day to remember.
On October 11, PAWS friends and supporters came together to enjoy fun activities, music, and food, all to support our efforts to save and serve the city's most vulnerable pets (like Gretel, right, who found a loving home!).
Together we raised an incredible $112,000 for PAWS' lifesaving efforts. Seven dogs met their new families, opening up space for us to rescue seven more in their place!
Congratulations and thanks to our highest fundraisers:
- Top Individual: Jon Kostesich ($2,545 raised: new all-time individual record!)
Runner Up: Ryan Guinup
- Top Team: QVK9 ($7,505 raised: new all-time team record!)
Runner Up: Pepper Paws

About PAWS: PAWS is Philadelphia's largest no-kill shelter, and is dedicated to saving the city's homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. Through its adoption locations, special events, and foster care network, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of pets each year. PAWS also operates two high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinics serving pet owners who cannot afford basic veterinary care, and rescue organizations that need affordable services to carry out their lifesaving work. These facilities, which serve more than 16,000 animals per year, plays a critical role in achieving our mission of reducing and ultimately eliminating the unnecessary killing of Philadelphia's animals.
